Wdyt of these vs. names

Hello again. I THINK I have finally decided on names for my quints. I have Ethan James, Cooper Travis, Kylie Faith, Delaney Hope, and Avery Grace. What do you think of them? Also, do you like Ethan James? Please help me out, they are due early may, but are most likely to be premes! Thanks~Laurie

Hi Laurie. I posted on your poll last night. I have quads. I definately LOVE Ethan James. Don’t use the nickname E.J. In my opinion it ruins the name.

Love the names! They are soooo perfect! Good luck with your babies!

Hey Bethanie, I was hoping I would get the chance to talk to you again. What’s it like with the quads?

Thanks meg!

I guess everyone is right. I will call him Ethan, do you like Ethan or Elijah better???
posted by Laurie :: 15 years ago | report
Definitely like Ethan over Elijah. I also like Ellis, which is a variant of Elijah. The names are great, BTW, and good luck with quints!

It’s definately crazy. It’s very stressful, but so rewarding. I read what you said on your other poll about telling them apart, but I couldn’t reply because Bella woke up! Color-coding is definately the way to go for telling them apart. I had 3 girls and 1 boy. Bella was pink, Emma-Claire was purple and Ava was yellow. Gavin was blue.

Stick with Ethan! It’s what you’ve wanted since the beginning! No, I’m not a fan of EJ, but if you love it then go for it! They’re your kids! Go with what you love!

Thanks Ashley, I was just between Ethan and Elijah.

Wow bethanie, that’s a good idea. I love the names, especially Bella. How old are they if you don’t mind me asking.
posted by Laurie :: 15 years ago | report
Oh no, it’s no problem! They’re 3 and a half.
posted by Bethanie :: 15 years ago | report
Aww, I bet they are darling! How do you cope with the stress?
posted by Laurie :: 15 years ago | report
Whenever I feel stressed or like I need a break I call in my 2 little neighbors who are 13. They LOVE playing with the kids while I go do what I need to do. I usually just catch up on sleep, do laundry or start dinner. It’s great for me, the kids and our neighbors.

Oh I know, my neighbors are sooo excited, they are 12 and 14. I want to let them sleep together when they come home, but idk if I should. Wdyt? Also, were they pre-mes?
posted by Laurie :: 15 years ago | report
I would do the sleeping arrangements by gender. Because they tend to wake eachother. My quads were preemies. They were born around 34 weeks.
posted by Bethanie :: 15 years ago | report
I am planning on letting the boys sleep together, and the girls sleep together. I am expecting them to arrive any day now, because I am almost at 34 weeks now. Do you match their outfits?? Sorry im asking so many questions.
posted by Laurie :: 15 years ago | report
Oh my Gosh no problem! I wish I could have someone answer all my questions when I pregnant! I tried the best as a could to match their outfits, but we color-coded to it didnt work out that often. And my doctor told me I should have a C-Section around 34 weeks. Yours could be different.
posted by Bethanie :: 15 years ago | report
That’s true, I guess it will be hard to match them when they’re a rainbow of colors. My doctor called me yesterday and said if I don’t go into labor in a week, then I will have a c-section. Did you stay awake during their birth, or have medicine?
posted by Laurie :: 15 years ago | report
I stayed away. I told my doctor that I waited so long to see these babies I would NOT be put to sleep!
posted by Bethanie :: 15 years ago | report
That’s true, I want to stay awake too. Don’t mind me asking, but are they well behaved? I am worried that my kids will get out of hand because there are so many.
posted by Laurie :: 15 years ago | report
I don’t want to boast, but my children are very well behaved. My husband and I are strict with them. With so many children you kind of have to be.
posted by Bethanie :: 15 years ago | report
I know I will have to be strict with them. My friends son was horrible, he hit and yelled at the drop of a hat. I have always known to be strict with my children since he was born. How do you find time to be on the computer?
posted by Laurie :: 15 years ago | report
My neighbors are playing with the kids. My husband and I found out we were pregnant 2 weeks ago. I’m so excited, because we didn’t need to use fertility treatments. It’s truly a miracle. So I race on here every day to look for name ideas.
posted by Bethanie :: 15 years ago | report
That’s good that you find time to do that. Congrats!!! Do you know what you’re having? Maybe I can help
posted by Laurie :: 15 years ago | report
I don’t! I’m only 9 weeks. We’re pretty sure it’s only 1 this time though. Which is great. I’m sure it will be a breeze compared to quads! Do you know if the quints will be your only children? If that’s too personal to answer don’t worry about it!
posted by Bethanie :: 15 years ago | report
Oh no that’s fine! I am hoping that they are my first and only kids, I was only hoping for one, but then they said it was quads, and now QUINTS! Do you have any other kids?
posted by Laurie :: 15 years ago | report
I don’t, the quads are my only kids.
posted by Bethanie :: 15 years ago | report
Thats good! I am glad I am having my quints first, so I can pay special attention to them, and to any other kids I may have later. I am considering having one more child, but in a few years. Are you for the all organic route, or do you not care, if you don’t want to answer any of my questions because they re too personal, just say so.
posted by Laurie :: 15 years ago | report
Oh no they’re not too personal! I try to go as "green" as possible when I’m buying their clothing. Food wise It’s very important to me my children eat organically. I was raised on an organic diet so I wanted my kids to do the same. Of course I allow them to have non-organic sweets sometimes, but processed meats, sugary drinks and vegetables/fruits grown with the help of chemicals are very rarely on my children’s dinner plates.
posted by Bethanie :: 15 years ago | report
I have been eating organic all through my pregnancy, but I am worried that when I am pressed for time I will break the habit. Do they have their own rooms? Also, what about pets?
posted by Laurie :: 15 years ago | report
You might feel that way, but if it is important to you, you will make sure that you do it anyway. Gavin has his own room. Bella and Ava share because they cry every time we move them to seperate rooms. Emma-Claire has her own room also. My husband and I feel they are still too young for pets, but we’re open to dogs in the future.
posted by Bethanie :: 15 years ago | report
We want pets when they are older as well. We have a fairly large house so when they are older, we will give them their own rooms. Also, when they go to school, are you going to put them in the same class, or are you going to seperate them? Or are you going to homeschool them

Sorry, back to names, do you like Mackenzie or Delaney better? Thanks
posted by Laurie :: 15 years ago | report
We’re going to send them to the catholic school in our town. My husband is a graduate and the school has offered us financial aide. I LOVE the name Mackenzie. Delaney is nice also, but I like Mackenzie better.
posted by Bethanie :: 15 years ago | report
What middle names do you like for Mackenzie? P.s. Thanks for all the help!
posted by Laurie :: 15 years ago | report
No Problem! I like MacKenzie Bridget, MacKenzie Rose or MacKenzie Sophia.
posted by Bethanie :: 15 years ago | report
Do you like Mackenzie Hope? To go with the other girls mn?
posted by Laurie :: 15 years ago | report
MacKenzie Hope is precious!
