I think this name sounds good, but how would you spell it, but I have no clue how to spell it. I don’t want it to look "made up." What are your opinions on this name? Do you think it sounds too trendy? Will it age well? Thanks for your help!

I like McKinley for a boy. I don’t care for it on a girl, but that is more due to personal preference. I like girly names not unisex names for girls.

I went to high school with a girl named McKinley she was the only one and she was a very beautiful girl and I think it ages well seeing I knew someone with the name age with it. It’s not common which may be why some think it won’t age well (not referring to you pp just saying) but some names now that are over popular won’t age well either. Just because it’s common or well known doesn’t mean it ages well it’s just what society tells you is okay.

I don’t really care for the name and it looks trendy and like it won’t age very well IMO. However, it is a surname (last name) and I would spell it correctly. It is also the surname of one of our presidents! McKinley is best if you use the name; Makinley just looks like Ma Kettle to me. GL!!

I agree with the last post, if you are going to do it, take the correct spelling. But Surnames are a bit trendy, which will date the name. Kind of like all the "Tiffanys", "Stephanys" and "Ashleys" of the 80s
