Claire vs. Clara
Hello, I think these names are nice but I’m not sure they’re for me. I love Claire on an adult and older lady it’s very feminine and sweet but I’m having a hard time placing it on a little girl. What do you think of Claire and Clara and which do you prefer? Or should I just let them go? Thanks

I have to agree...I think they are old lady names, too...I think it is best as a middle name.

I know a few Claire/Clare/Clair who are all little girls. I think Clara sounds older. Definately go with Claire.

I actually love both versions, but lean towards Clara. I think the name is lovely, and while it does have a bit of an "old-fashioned" vibe (in a good way), I vehemently do not think it has an "old lady" vibe. I think Clara would be very sweet on a little girl, and lovely on an adult.

I think Clara sounds older and will age better. I also like it more than Claire.
claire! it’s my 19 yr old sister’s name... has lots of cute nn for little girls - clairey, claire-bear, etc.
