Harmony vs. Lyric
Hello, this is Rowena again. I posted a poll earlier about needing help naming my baby girl and picking a theme for the nursery. Well some one posted the name Harmony in one of their answers and I LOVE IT. It has a meaning to me consindering my grandmother and great-grandmother and I all love to sing and are excellent singers. I also love the name Lyric. Would Harmony Lyric sound wierd or does it flow? If you dont think so could you give me middle names that do. Something that has to do with a miracle or gift or something of God. I am religious. What do you all think of a musical themed nursery? What types of thing would you put in a musical themed nursery? Thanks for all the help so far, Rowena

What about Harmony Grace? As in God’s Grace? Also, a musical themed nursery would be adorable! I would stick to neutral colors for furniture, walls, etc and then add lots of color in the accessories. Vintage musical instuments displayed on shelves, old sheet music in nice frames for wall art. You could also paint a staff on the wall as a border and then paint on the notes of your favorite lullaby or song. Good luck!
Oh, and a baby toy piano in the corner would be darling!
I think Harmony Lyric would be too much literal music in the same name, and be hokey.
Harmony Shai- pronounced "shy" is a Hebrew name meaning gift.
Harmony Carys- is a Welsh name meaning love.
Harmony Liran/Liron/Lirone/Lirona- Hebrew names meaning "my joy" or "my song."
Harmony Hannah- Hannah prayed for a baby, and Samuel was born
Harmony Chana- Hebrew form of Hannah

Great names! I suggest making a musical note mobile. You can buy woosen musical notes from craft stores and paint them, or cut out paper ones!

I think a musical themed nursery sounds very neat! I like the first poster’s suggestions because that would really age well with your daughter.
Love the name Harmony but I think it is a bit much with Lyric, I would do one or the other. I definitely prefer Harmony. Some mn ideas:
Angeline/Angelina…variant of Greek Angela: Messenger; messenger of God
Eliza…Short form of Hebrew Elizabeth: God’s promise; God is My Oath
Elise…variant of Elisa (Hebrew), Elizabeth (Hebrew) and Elysia (Latin), and the meaning of Elise is "God’s promise; God’s promise; God is my oath"
Liesel… variant of Elisa (Hebrew), Elizabeth (Hebrew) and Liesl (German): God’s promise; God is my oath
Lisette… variant of Elizabeth (Hebrew), Lisa (English) and Lizette (American): God’s promise; God is my oath
Samantha…English: feminine form of Samuel (Hebrew) "God heard". Also contains the Greek -antha which means "flower"

Anything but Lyric! Harmony is sooo much better.
How about a biblical middle name?
Harmony Ruth
Harmony Rebecca
Harmony Eve
or
Harmony Faith (that’s very pretty IMO).
