I love Rowan on a girl! Very sweet. I would not use it on a boy.

I can’t see it on a grown up man and I can’t see it on a grown up woman. I knew a girl named Rowan and well I just don’t care for it. But if you like it go for it.

I like it only on a boy. I don’t find it pretty or feminine in the least. Rowena is pretty for a girl.

I prefer it for a boy, but I can see it on either... much more so than some other names that are definitively masculine to me that people name their daughters.

For me, Rowan is all girl. This might be, because I know 2 girls with this name. But, I don’t see it on a boy and think it’s beautiful for a girl. GL!

Although I don’t disagree that it can go either way, I MUCH prefer it for a girl! It’s my daughter’s name, and I think it is a gorgeous and grown up sounding name for a female. I prefer much more masculine names for boys. This imo is too soft and earthy for a boy.
