Leighton (NOT Layton) vs. For a Boy?

I’m expecting a baby boy, and was wondering your thoughts on the name Leighton for a boy? I really dislike the spelling Layton, but fear Leighton might be too feminine. But I do know a boy named Wesleigh. What do you think? Would Leighton James be okay for my son? Thanks, K

I think its fine, both spellings look boyish to me anyway, haha.

I have always preferred Leighton too. I don’t think its feminine, but I’ve seen some posts on here where people are using Leighton as a girls name...just like all the other traditional boys names. GL, and Leighton James is very handsome!

Leighton is a wonderful boys name. My ex-boyfriend, we’re still great friends, more like brother and sister which is probably why the dating didnt work out too well, His name is Leighton and He is the only person I know with that name. Definitely all boy to me! Good Choice and Congratulations on Your Bundle of Joy!

Yeah, its a boys name for me too. It can also be spelled Lleyton, like Lleyton Hewitt (the tennis player).
