Noah Charles vs. Boy vs. Girl

We have chose Noah Charles as our boy’s name. However a few people we’ve told have said they like Noah for a girl. Can anyone shed some light on when and why Noah became a girls name?!?!?!?! Thanks.

there is nothing girly about Noah!!! It is a ridiculous trend and I hope it goes away soon....poor mothers of boys, dumb people are giving all the names away to girls....

I agree--I don’t know who would think this sounds good on a girl. It’s a boy name dating all the way back to Noah’s Ark!

I never heard of this for a girl. I think it is all boy, and it sounds great with Charles!

My son’s name is Noah, so obviously I don’t like it as a girl’s name. There is a girl named Noa in the Bible, however.

Noah Charles is great! So many boys names our know being given to girls, I just recently met a little girl with the name Austin.

I do know a girl with this name, but she spells it Noa and it fits her well. Also, Miley Cyrus’ little sister’s name is Noah Lindsay. I can see where Noa(h) would be cute on a girl, but it will always be seen as a boys name. When people see Noah, they will automatically think boy. Unlike, Riley for instants where people have to ask the gender. GL!--Noah Charles is a great choice!

calling people dumb is not nice....who cares if someone gave a name to a girl....if you like it for a boy then use it.

I see Noah as all boy, and love the name.
But, if I met a little girl named Noah, it could grow on me. Of course, I prefer the pronunciation "Noah" with the original female name Noa.
Noah Charles is excellent, paired together perfectly, and is 100% boy.

I could list a few more boys names that have becoms girl names. Riley has become a girls name now, not that I care I HATE Riley on both sex, totally unmasculine & definately not sexy or pretty !!!!!!!!!!!!! Noah is definately an all boy name
