I wasn’t ever a huge fan of Iris Clementine, just because I can’t imagine ever being, or wanting to be, named that myself.

My favorites are: Lydia Jacqueline, Arabella Jeannette, Stella Josephine, and Rhys Jameson.

But, if you don’t want all the same middle initial, I’d do: Stella Vivienne, Piper Jeannette, Lena Marisol, and Matteo Sebastian/Anthony Marcus.

Combos I like:
Lydia Jacqueline
Stella Josephine
Scarlett Julianne
Landon James

or

Olivia
Ava
Stella

Hey, how long was your last name again? Two syllables, right?

Lydia Jacqueline seems to be a favorite, we’re highly considering it. I don’t want them to have the same mn initial.

If you don’t mind, could you tell me why you don’t like Iris Clementine? Thank you!

I like Iris and Celementine, but I think they might be a bit much together- a flower and a fruit. That said, if that doesn’t bother you, the names do flow well together, sound-wise. As for your other names, it’s hard to pick because there are so many lovely options! What about:
Iris Josephine
Lydia Clementine
Arabella Jane or Ariana Claire
Henry Nathaniel

Yes, ln is 2 syllables.

I, on the contrary, like Iris!

Iris Clementine
Scarlet Julianne
Olivia Caroline
Henry Nathaniel

You have some gorgeous names on your list! GL!

Iris Clementine is stunning. I could defiantly imagine that on a little girl. there are so many cute nicknames to go with that.
Clemee/Emmy/Clem/Em. and if you want to get goofy Clemster/Emster! its just really cute IMO! Besides how many other people do you know Iris or Clementine? she will be original and different, and in a good way. :)

my other favs are:
Piper Jeanette
Lucy Elena or Eleanor (nn Ellie, Ella, Luce)
Stella Josephine and Hudson James or Lucas Tate!
all of your children will go well together and sounds great!
Iris Clementine*, Piper Jeanette, Lucy Elena and Hudson James*. its all darling

I like iris, and I like Lydia, but not as sibling names. I don’t think they go together very well. Maybe... iris Clementine, Olivia Josephine, Scarlett Julianne, and Sebastian or Henry.

Well, contrary to what the above guest said, I don’t actually think those names flow perfectly together. They work, no doubt, but they don’t do it for me. Iris reminds me of either the flower, or the part of the eye, and thus doesn’t really seem like an appropriate name. Clementine reminds me of the song and seems a bit countrified and silly, quite frankly. Really, I think the problem is that I like classic names, which is why I love Lydia Jacqueline so much!

I love Lydia Jacqueline, Amelia Caroline, Stella Vivienne, and Rhys Nathaniel, personally. They are classic and beautiful with a little bit of spunk.

all of these names are lovely. it is hard to pick!
I dont see why people dont like Iris. it is a beautiful name. its classic and original. yes it does kind of sound like flower and fruit, but when i think of that I dont think bad. I think delicate and sweet!
Iris and Clementine both have great meanings also.
Iris- It is of Greek origin, and its meaning is "rainbow". A flower name. Mythology: Iris was a messenger-goddess who rode rainbows between heaven and earth to deliver messages from Olympus.
Clementine- is of French and Latin origin, and its meaning is "merciful","gentle" and "mild"

Lena Marisol, Piper Vivinne, and Lucas Johnathan are my other choices.
to me Iris, Lena, Piper and Lucas just sound good together!
GL!

I really like Olivia Caroline, I love the nn Livvy.

Hmm, I’m in love with Clementine as a mn, are there any other fns that would go nicely with Clementine? Though I still really like Iris Clementine. Thank you!

Wow, I love Iris Clementine, Lena Marisol, Piper Vivienne/Vivian, and Lucas Johnathan together! I also really like Olivia and Lucy, but I won’t use Lucy and Lucas together. Thank you!

The reason I picked Lydia, Amelia, and Stella together are because those are all, believe it or not, century names, meaning that they were popular a century ago and are coming back. They are beautiful and sound great together! Henry is also a century name, so I would use Lydia Jacqueline, Amelia Caroline, Stella Vivienne, and Henry Nathaniel, because they all work perfectly together! If you must, use Clementine instead of Caroline, but I much prefer Caroline!

I wouldn’t use Lucy and Lucas together or Olivia and Lydia together - too close.

Hmm...
Olivia Clementine?
Maria Clementine
Elise Clementine
Irina Clementine (close to Iris yet different enough to be "normal", if you’re replacing Iris)
Elaina Clementine
Jaclyn Clementine
Lauren Clementine
Sofia Clementine
Ophelia Clementine
Cecilia Clementine
Delaney Clementine
Georgia Clementine (though it might be a little too fruit-based)
Callie Clementine
Leona Clementine

I really like Sophia Clementine & Delaney Clementine. Thank you!

I really like Irina Clementine from pp.
Irina Clementine (maybe you could call her Iris as an at-home nn?)
Scarlet Julianne (Carly?)
Olivia Caroline (Livvy)
Henry Nathaniel

Clementine is darling!
Olvia is too popular and so is Amelia!
Olivia and Lydia are too close!
Lucy and Lucas are too close
Henry is great, Lucas is my favorite
I havent heard Lena Marsiol before, that is darling
I agree with the previous poster, Iris, Lena, Piper and Lucas sound amazing.

Amelia is only ranked #68 on the SSA, so it isn’t as popular as you think! You need names that sound good together, and are of the same style, so I still think that Lydia Jacqueline, Stella Vivienne, Amelia Caroline (Clementine if you wish), and Henry Nathaniel are your best bets. If you don’t like Henry, some other comparable names are Elias Benjamin, Ezra Nathaniel, Julian Nathaniel, and Russell Benjamin. You want names that are classic and beautiful, but still interesting, and I think you have that with these. Lydia (Lyddie?), Amelia (Mia?), Stella (Stell?), and Henry (call him Nate if you want to)! That’s it, I’m done. Good luck!

Ok, so I think we’re going to stick with Iris Clementine. Lena Marisol is another favorite, I think we’ll use this one?? maybe..
I still really like Piper Vivian/Vivienne and Lucas Johnathan as well. Thank you!

Jonathan is spelled this way!

Lena, Iris, Piper, and Lucas don’t fit perfectly - you need a different boy name IMO. What about Easton Mitchell?
posted by guest :: 14 years ago | report
Actually, both spellings work. I do really like Easton Mitchell. I’m making another poll. Thank you for everyone’s help.
