Austin is a boy name! No matter what. It is not unisex! Unisex is something like Avery or Reagan. Austin is all boy.

I know an Austyn and an Austin, both girls. Austin is still a baby, so she barely knows her name, but when people see it written or hear it they think that she’s a boy, even if she’s dressed in girls’ clothes (I guess some parents dress boys in girls’ clothes?). The Austyn I know is a bit older (5) and she also gets the same reaction to her name, but a bit worse because there’s an Austin in her class (a boy) who spells it with an i and everyone tells her she misspelt her name.

I think its ok. Not the worst name to use on a girl (better than Blake or Tatum) but not the nicest either. GL!

I think Austin should be kept as a boys name. Though I have met a girl with this name and she spells it Austyn. She’s 6, so I don’t really know how she feels about it but she doesn’t seem to mind. GL!

I agree that Austin should be kept on a boy. I dont find it attractive on a girl..........If you want to be different MAYBE Dallas, Brooklyn, Eden, Jordan, London, Memphis, Magdalyn, Phoenix, Sydney, Sedona, Wynona, Bethany, im pretty sure could all be considered place names if thats what ur looking for?

I would definitely spell it Austin for a boy or a girl; although, I have NEVER heard it for a girl and never want to personally. Sorry. I like some unisex names, but not that.

I’ve never heard of a girl austyn or austin, but it seems like it would work??

I love the name Austin on a boy. I guess Austen/Austyn is only okay on a girl - I’ve never heard it but these days, every trendy boys name is quickly converted to "unisex."
