Davon vs. Davin vs. Dayven

I want the name to be pronounced "DAY-ven" like David but with an "n". But I was wondering how it should be spelled. Would Davon be prn "dah-VON" and Davin "DAH-vin"? ... I’m confused, lol. Sometimes I think Dayven is the only way it would be pronounced properly when read but I wonder if that looks too funny... thanks for the input in advance!!

I think it would have to be Dayven...maybe Daivin? I love the name Davin pronounced like Dah-vin.

Davin. Dayven looks feminine.

Davin looks like it rhymes with Gavin. Dayven is the only way to get the pronunciation you’re looking for IMO, but I also think it looks made-up, trendy, and girly. Sorry. GL!!

i named my son Javen (Jay-ven) people Always say it JAw-ven instead of Jay-ven the same as your Name Davin/Daven looks better spelled this way but if you dont want to have to correct people all the time Daiven is cute to

Hmm.. thanks everyone.
What about Dayvon? Does that look more masculine? Or would people pronounce it "Day-VON"?? Ahh so much work with just one little name! lol

The ONLY one that will be pronounced that way is Dayven, otherwise it will be prouneced like Devin/Devon but with a A sound not with an AY sound but with a a sound. Your childs name will ALWAYS be mis-pronounced if it spelt like the first two.

I’d say Dayvin but agree it needs the Y

I know some Davins and they pronounce it like Gavin. Davon will definitely be pronounced Da-vahn. Dayven is the only way to go if you don’t want pronunciation issues. You may want to rethink this. It’s not too great anyway.

Almost any name with a "Y" in the middle looks girlie to me. I have a guy friend named Shayne...how girlie is that? If you insist on the name, spell in Davin, and your kid will have to put up with some mispronunciations. GL.

i would spell it Daven. Davon looks like da-von, Davin looks like da-vinn. and Dayven looks trendy and misspelled and girly, Dayvon just looks like day-von.
