Its very feminin, but I’ve only seen the name as a nn for a girl named Melanie Rose...its better as a nn to me =) Or maybe hyphenated...Mel-Rose...GL!

it sounds like a surname, i think it would be more of a girl name seeing as Mel is seen as more of a girl name and Rose is a girl name. i think a boy would be teased having this for his name. he’d probably go by Mel and say that he was named after Mel Gibson or something. i’d say if you’re gonna use it then use it for a girl, i prefer it as a nn though, Melanie Rose nn Melrose/Mel-Rose is really nice

Melrose is a pretty name i like it is a girl name for sure. i would feel bad for a boy if they where named this

I see it as a boy’s name but I can see how the rose makes it girly, but on a girl it would fall flat I think and not be as unique a name if it were on a boy.
