Agatha vs. Agnes
My husband REALLY REALLY likes Agatha and has Agnes as a close second. I’m not 100% sold on EITHER name. What do you all think? Too old fashioned or would an Agatha toddling around preschool be a cutie with a unique un-Madyson/Kaitlyn type ordinary name?
The Top Baby Name is...

Agatha is not my favorite name, but is MUCH better than Agatha! Agatha would be best with a mn that is more up to date. Agatha Rose, Agatha Lillian, Agatha Payton.

I’m not really fond of either of these names, partly because they are way too old fashioned. But I voted for Agnes because you could nickname her Nessie. I know a Nessie (nn for Vanessa). Agatha doesn’t have a good nn. Good luck! I know your husband likes these names, but what are your preferences? (you should have some say - after all pregnancy and labor are not easy!)

Agatha is a great name that I think will be making a comeback in about 10 years. You’ll be at the head of the wave!

I definitely say Agatha!! I think it’s cute in an old-fashioned way, like Lucy and Eleanor, which are making comebacks!! and for a cute nickname, there is always Aggie

What if you had Agatha as a middle name? Maddylyn Agatha, Rosaline Agatha...? Or you could try to come up with an Agatha spin off like Aggie, Addie... good luck!
