Robson nn Robbie vs. Opinions?

So, heres the thing. We LOVE the name Robbie for our son, but both agree that it needs a full name that uses Robbie as a nickname. But, we definitely do not like the name Robert (I have a cousin named Robert, and do not want to associate with him whatsoever. He didn’t go by the name Robbie, he went by Bert). We came up with the name Robson, but are a bit unsure. What are your opinions on this name? We would love some feedback. Thanks! Ali, Tyler, and big sis Hadley Nicole.

I like it. It is a bit different, but it grows on you. Also, if he will mainly go by Robbie, then it works. I love Robbie, but I also love the idea of him having a full name.

You could also go with Robart (pr: ROW-Bart)

Also, Roberts or Roberton. If you don’t want the name to be associated at all with your cousin or to be even close, you are definitely best to go with Robson.
