Geneva [jen-EE-vah] vs. Genevieve [JEN-ah-veev]
Help! I am completely stuck between these two names! Both are classic, feminine and basically what I’ve been looking for from the start, but I obviously have to choose one, lol. I like both but I think I like Geneva a little more, I think it is very pretty plus I tend to like shorter names most of the time!

I voted for Genevieve because I don’t like Geneva at all. It reminds me of my half sister’s mother. Not a good thought.

I LOVE both but I prefer Genevieve over Geneva. It is a little more frilly and interesting IMO. I love the name, which is why my husband and I chose it for our second daughter! She is Genevieve Elise. We get a lot of compliments and have only met 3 or 4 others with the name in the last 5 years. Most people know how to pronounce the name, but a few act like they’ve never heard it. People have some issue spelling it but I like the trick of breaking it into 3 names: Gene, Vi, Eve--that seems to make it easier for people. GL!!

I love both but I voted for Geneva because it’s so uncommon of a name and it’s so beautiful.
