Baby Name Poll Results
Thought we vs. had decided...
We thought we had decided on the name Riley to go with sister Kelly, but we keep having doubts because we really like some other names too. We like Jolie, Devyn, Reese, Vanessa, and Avery. I would love to get your opinions on each name, and what kind of girl you picture, personality or looks wise. This will hopefully help us make our final decision. Any middle name combos are also greatly appreciated! Thanks so much--

This is the poll poster, and I would like to add 2 more names to the list. Karalee nn Kara, and Allison nn Alli(e). Jolie, Reese, Riley, and Avery wouldn’t have a definite nn, but I have known a girl named Devyn whom we called Dev, so that would be what we called her.

Vanessa - this one is my fav from your list. Very pretty and goes well with Kelly.
Avery - nice name, but not nearly as feminine as Vanessa. Seems a little book-ish to me.
Riley - not a huge fan of this name. I feel that a teacher looking at a class list for the first time would wonder if Riley was a girl or a boy.
Jolie - not fond of this one, makes me think of Angelina Jolie
Reese - kind of pretty, but makes me think of the peanut butter cup.
Devyn - this has always seemed like a boys name to me. I don’t care for it as a girls name.
Karalee - I much prefer Kara which is classic and beautiful. How about using Lee/Leigh as a mn? Kara Leigh is very pretty.
Allison - I really like this name. It’s great for a little girl and a grown woman. I like the nn Alli - very pretty!
In summary, my favourite combos from your list would be (in order):

Vanessa, Jolie, Kara or Allison. To me, names like Riley, Avery and Reese are cute on babies but silly on middle aged women (which your daughter will one day be)
