August vs. Boy? vs. Girl?

Do you consider the name August to be a boy or girl name? I am thinking of using it as a middle name for my baby boy...but someone told me the other day it was a girls name. What do you think?

It’s definitely a unisex name, and, for me, it is truthfully 50/50. It’s not more boy or more girl. I think, especially since it is a middle name, I’d use it. It is very cute

Augusta is the fem form

August as a middle name for a girl isn’t bad

I much prefer Augustin

technically, it’s unisex,. however, i prefer it on a boy. i think it would make a great middle name, what fn did you have in mind?

Dave Mathews from the band has a son named August. I would never consider this to be a girl’s name. It sounds all boy to me!
