Personally, I would not name a boy Anne or Marie. Those are girl’s names.

Originally, Ashley, Emerson, Addison, Bailey, Jordan, Madison, etc. etc. were all boy names. Where do we as moms draw the line and let the boys have their names?

Honestly, if you were say a teacher, like me, and you saw Marie (insert last name) on an attendance list, I would assume girl. The same with Anne. Rene could work for both, so I’d say go with that.

I love Rene Sebastian,sounds very handsome.

Also Leslie started as a boys name too.So many names use to be boys are now girls.I know a Ashley who is a boy.

I don’t recall Anne or Marie ever being boys names. However, even if it were so, WHY would you do that to your son?

um...this is a joke, right? Anne and Marie?

Rene, however, is a boys name (not pronounced ’reen’ though, its still ’reh-NAY’), so Rene Sebastien is such an adorable boys name. You may want to add the accent though, just to make it a little more obvious. René Sebastien.
