Well, I really want to keep the double Aa because it is after a little boy I knew named Aaron and Faith after his sister. They were foster kids that lived with my family. So Aaleah just looks wierd IMO.
But thanks for the suggestions Rae!

I went to school with a girl who spelled her’s Aleia--same pronunciation. What about Aaleia? I think that is cute.

So many vowels. Why not Aeilieeyah? Your kid is going to have to spell her name for everyone for the rest of her life.
How about Malia? Similar sound, but prettier and classier, I think.

Maybe you didn’t read above. I want to honor Faith and Aaron; foster kids my family took care of for three years. I miss them so much. Therefore I wanted the double Aa and the middle name Faith. I could care less if my child will have to spell their name all the time. Mine is Ceara, pronounced sierra. Trust me, it doesn’t bother me that much. It just shows I am unique. why would you want to name you kid something boring like Ann or Bob.
aeilieeyah doesn’t make since. i wat her name to be as short as possible. That is why I was leaning toward Aaliah, but Aaliyah is the most common, but I like unique so it will probably be Aaliah.
Aaliah is pretty and classy and Malia doesn’t have a double Aa now does it? Names that start with vowels or soft consonets are always prettier IMO.
Sorry, But Aleah won’t work. I want a double Aa and Aaleah looks really odd. Aaliah or Aaliyah remind me of a princess or a something very beautiful. With Aaleah, I don’t get that feeling.

Aaliyah is my fav - don’t change such a beautiful name. This is the original spelling, if you’ve got to spell it out for people then they were dense to begin with and it shouldn’t bother you.

KristaDeanne - Aaliyah is NOTTT the original. Aliyah is the hebrew word. Aaliyah was popularized by the singer.
Poll poster - to be honest, it’s lovely you want to honor them, but Aaron and Faith are much better names than Aaliyah. It also makes me laugh that you want a more ’unique’ name than Ann or Bob, but newsflash, Aaliyah is number 46, while Ann is 996, and Bob is not even in the top 1000. Think about that.
