Aubrey is too trendy, too unisex, and not pretty at all. It will be dated soon because it is so trendy right now.
Audrey is gorgeous, sophisticated, elegant and timeless.

Third poster, Aubrey is a man’s name that hasn’t been used on women that long. It has been in the top 1000 since 1880 when the Social Security Administration began keeping records and it used to be very popular. It was #937 last year for BOYS.

The boy’s name Aubrey \a(u)-brey, aub-rey\, also used as girl’s name Aubrey, is pronounced AW-bree. It is of Old German origin, and its meaning is "elf or magical being, power".

The girl’s name Audrey \a(u)-drey, aud-rey\ is pronounced AW-dree. It is of Old English origin, and its meaning is "noble strength".

Well my husband’s name is Oliver which means Elf Army so he is loving the Aubrey because they have similiar meanings. I still just don’t know. Audrey has such a great meaning. I love them both. I think I just have to wait and see what she loves like. She will be her in three weeks! Can’t wait!

Aubrey! It’s such a pretty name. I was suprised to read that Aubrey was considered trendy. I only know one and she is in her 30s.

I was surprised too ^^! I never thought of Aubrey as being trendy at all

Audrey definitely! It is so classic, elegant, and beautiful. Aubrey, while it’s nice, doesn’t sound as nice as Audrey, in my opinion. Go with whatever you want, but if I were you I would pick Audrey.

I love the name Aubrey. I’m having a little girl in December and Im naming her Aubrey! I know two Aubreys (one in her 20s, one in her early 30s) and they are both beautiful and kind women.

I love the name Aubrey! I think its nuts to be considered a unisex name because it is so feminine.. I could never see this name on a man! I also dont see Aubrey as being trendy, I have been working with young children for about 10 years and I have never come across this name before. The only time I have ever heard the name was when Chelsea on Teen Mom 2 named her daughter that. However I do like Audreys meaning much better.. but I dont care for Audrey.. its too old fashioned and a lil frumpy to me.

Aubrey!! It’s my favorite name and its soo beautiful and feminine. This name is not trendy at all its been used on women since the middle ages (as well as on men)! However over the past 5 years it is climbing the charts for girls. I dont care for Audrey, its a lil boring and frumpy to me.
