I personally find Eilona a bit dated sounding and if you’d like a link to any Hebrew/Jewish heritage, Eliona does not have that sort of a sound to it. May I suggest:

A friend of mine from Jerusalem spells it Eylona and her nickname is Lonny. I think it is lovely.
