Rinoa Jade vs. Alyssa Rose
My favorite first name for a girl is the name of a fictional character from a video game: Rinoa. I like the character, LOVE the name... but it’s not a "real" name. My boyfriend says that doesn’t matter, and he likes it. But do I dare give a name like that? (I like one-syllable middle names, you may notice.) Thanks!
The Top Baby Name is...
Rinoa Jade

Go for it! Its unique, spunky and it has a story behind it. Alyssa is run of the mill. Also I love Jade much more than Rose

If it won’t bother you when other kids call her Rhino or rhinocerous (I honestly don’t know how to spell that right now, but I guarantee that will be how she is teased), then go for it.

How would you say Rinoa? Like RI-NO-AHH?
Please don’t do that to your child...just because you like the character and it’s so different doesn’t mean she is going to like the way her name came up

Alyssa Rose is really pretty:) You could always use Rinoa as a middle name. But if you used it as a first name I would just worry like the above poster that she might get teased with the nickname rhino. I’m sorry!
Alyssa Rose or Alyssa Jade are pretty! GL!
I wouldn’t go wih Rinoa, just asking for mispellings and wrong pronunciations

I no nothing about video games but I really like the name Rinoa. It is different and feminine. I’d name it- especially if both you and the baby’s dad like it.
