Penelope Eva-Charlotte vs. Yes vs. No
I posted earlier, and after much debate, I STILL want to name our daughter Peaches. Everyone feels we should name her something else and just call her Peaches. After much thought, we came up with Penelope Eva-Charlotte because it has letters in the correct order to spell the word "peach." What do you think? Our other idea for a first name is Paigah (pronounced Pay-juh).

For wanting to call her Peaches, I think that Penelope Eva-Charlotte is a great name, but I agree with the above poster. Peaches is pretty bad, and trust me, she will not want to be called Peaches much past the age of 6 when other children laugh at her.

Love that it. Better than actually naming her peaches. I agree with the others. I actually knew a family growing up who has a daughter who went by Plum and another who went by Tulip. They hated their names so much that they both started going by something else by at least age 12 or so. I also remember how much they were made fun of for it. Keep that in mind.

I definitely like Penelope better than Paigah. I agree with everyone though. You are best to only call her Peaches at home and not have her solely go by that. Either call her Penny and Penelope so she can go by one of those when in school. I am happy thouh that you are giving her a full name instead of Peaches because no one wants to go by Peaches in school, college, a professional setting, etc. You do want her to be taken seriously. Peaches is cute for when younger but for an older girl, Peaches sounds stripperish and ditzy.

You can use Peaches as her nickname for any name. As a pet name. Penelope Eva Charlotte is very pretty and as the others said when shes older she can chose what name to use., as there are many shortened versions for the above names. :-)

I know how it feels to fall in love with a name that is not conventional. If you are truly set on it, I think this is a good compromise. She will either own and love the name Peaches, or you can easily settle on something else with lots of options from her full name. Good luck!
