Hi, my dh and I wanted to name our baby girl after my cousin, a very special person in our lives. Her name was Marissa Amelia. We like both of these names! Please help! Thanks!

I like Amelia best, Mia is also a cute nn. Marissa is a close second thouh. Amelia is a more classic and proper sounding name where Marissa sounds more spunky and fun. GL!

Amelia:
Amelie (ah-mah-lee)
Mia
Leah
Melanie/ Melody (maybe?)
Marissa:
Marie
Arissa/Aerie/Ari
Mara
But, my favorite of them all is Amelia. Marissa is a close second, though! Marissa isn’t used, like, ever any more. GL!

I would do Amelia bc that way she’ll still have her own name while honoring your cousin at the same time. Plus, I’ve always liked that name and feel like it’ll age the best.
Amelia is a really cute name. Marissa is nice but a tip... It’s my name and I’ve always had problems with a whole lot of other people with that name when I was in school (it’s become even more popular now) and with people misspelling it. They would always spell it Marisa or Marrisa never how it was really spelled. It always was frustrating correcting people so i eventually gave up... even my teachers spelled it wrong! Just a tip...
