how do you vs. pronounce vs. Jocelyn

I like the pronunciation Joss-uh-lin. How should I spell it? I like the spelling of Jocelyn. However, my husband’s name is Joseph so we could spell it using part of his name, like Joselyn. I just don’t want it pronounced wrong, not Jo-suh-lin. Your thoughts?

I’ve never heard this name pronounced any way but the way you’re intending.

Clearly, though, you will run into people who will mess it up.
But, here’s the thing: Just about Any name can get mispronounced by someone.

If it’s important to you to honor her dad, then spell it with his name.
Otherwise, I do prefer the Jocelyn spelling, and I think it, too, is a nice tribute to dad.
It’s also a lovely name, btw!
