Lila Lucille vs. Lucia Delilah
We love Lucia - but we’re unsure of how most would pronounce it. We like it pronounced Loo-see-a... but how would you automatically pronounce it? We don’t like Delilah as a first name, but wouldn’t have a problem as a middle name. Either of these, or another combo?

I would automatically pronounce it Loo-sha, I also knew a Lucia who pronounced it loo-CHEE-uh. I wouldn’t use it because there are so many ways to say it, people never will say it right. I also do not like it with Delilah, it does not sound right with both names ending in a’s. Lila Lucille is my favorite. GL!

I would prn it either Lou-see-a or Lou-chee-a, and wait to be corrected.

Out of the three pronunciations of Lucia, I’ve always gone with "loo see ah". Loo chee ah and loo sha don’t sound good to me.
I LOVE Lucia!! Lucia Delilah is beautiful!

Lucia is one of my favorite names in the world.
I’d pronounce it Lou-see-a.
It will be mispronounced from time to time, but lots of names are.
I believe that the Lou-chee-a and Loo-sha pronounciations are more common with Spanish speakers.
The Loo-see-a pronounciation is very familiar to people with Scandinavian heritage.
There is a Lucia Day celebrated in Sweden.
At any rate, I love it, and I think it’s much more elegant and unique than Lila-which is definitely getting popular.
But....if it would bug you to have to correct people, then keep that in mind.
As for the mns, I’m really not a fan of Delilah, but that’s just me.
