I really like it. It’s a strong, masculine, unique, Biblical name that is very stunning and nice. It ages well and it’s different from the boring everyday plain nonsense of "crazy" things called baby names.

First I think Biblical, then I think of the word able. I personally don’t care for the name.

Better than Cain! I think it is a nice name, but I’ve never heard it outside the Bible, so I’m sure your son will get lots of Cain and Abel comments.

i like the name Abel Alot but i just think it would better used as a middle name

I love Abel! I want to use this name too, but so far I haven’t decided on a middle name for it.
So far I like:
Abel Jonas
Abel Patrick
Abel Peter
Abel Sawyer
