Girl vs. Names

We like Emmeline, Madeleine, Giana, Lyla, Isabelle, Sophia, Ava, Matilda, Natalie, Kate. We have five older children children, Nathaniel James "Nate" 18, Finnegan Ryan "Finn" 16, Elijah William "Eli" 15, Lillian Amelia "Lily" 11, and Broderick Vaughn "Brody" 9. We’re also open to other suggestions. We’re also worried about the huge age difference between the kids, did anyone else have a similar situation? Thanks! My sons are 18 and 15, and I had my daugher last year (I’m expecting again). I also worried about the large gap, but they’ve taken to my little girl so well, and they can’t wait for this new surprise. Just make sure to include the older ones in everything, and don’t make everything baby orientated and you should be fine!
Btw, I like Sophia from your list. I think that sounds best with your other children. GL!

Thanks! We love Sophia, my mothers name was Sophia.
And they’ve definately been helpful, even offering to babysit. I’m not so much worried about Lily & Brody bonding with them, but Nate is going to college and I’m worried he won’t have the same bond with them as the other kids.

Sophia Madeleine and Emmeline Kate -- two that I considered for my firstborn (but it was a boy! Booooo.)

Sophie and Emmie.

You could also do Emelina. I love that. It flows better with Kate, IMO.

Emmeline Matilda or Matilda Emmeline is just wonderful, too.

My oldest son is going off to university this year (we’re in the UK), and I’m also worried about him bonding with the new baby. But I’ve decided that once he’s gone I’ll send him photos and updates all the time. As long as you keep him in the loop with everything going on, it shouldn’t be too hard. And when he’s back from college on his breaks it’ll give them even more of a special bond (distance makes the heart grow fonder? lol).

Gianna is lovely (it’s my dogs name, I call her Gia). I just don’t think it’s good with a niece named Gemma.

Emme could also be short for emelia. Sophia can also be spelled Sofia
