im unsure of dexter too. Its a nice name as is, but the nn dex can sound like something vulgar. also, ’texter’, we live in a texting generation,

I love Lachlan. Lincoln sounds too formal and Dexter, well, I know a horse called Dexter (nickname Dex). I love him to bits, and I love his name, but I just don’t like it with humans.
