I am in love with both names. I would name my own daughters Matilda and adelyn. Love them both. Sorry haha that doesn’t help

Haha! I wish I was having twins at this point so I could just use both! I THINK I’m leaning more towards Matilda just like most people seem to be, but I’m just not sure. My niece wants to call her Mitchie if I choose Matilda. Does that go? Adelyn’s nn would be Addie.

Nns we have lined up for Matilda are Mattie, Maddie or Mitchie (I know the last one doesn’t really go, but my niece LOVES it, and I’m starting to really like it too). Nns for Adelyn are Addie, Lynn and Adele.

Adelyn is one of those names that sounds really original and uncommon when you first name your baby that- but that is exactly what all the other mom’s are thinking, so when the baby gets older she will go to school with 50 other adelyns. i know about four babies named adelyn (spellings vary of course). just like megan and lindsey were original about 20 years ago, and now they are everywhere. Matilda is a classic beautiful name that could withstand all the popular trendy names. my opinion...

I would go Adelyn but as people keep saying.......they are both absolutely gorgeous! GL! P.S...it helps to look at her when shes born to tell whether she looks like a Matilda or an Adelyn! i look forward to knowing her name! by the way......what will her middle name be???

I would go for Adelyn, I love that name! I am actually going to name my daughter Adelyn. I also like Matilda. Like someone said, have both names and choose the one when you see her. But, Adelyn has my vote! Hope this helps!
