Those seem strange. Do they fit your ethnicity? If so, okay.

They do. Both are Japanese names and my husband is Japanese.

Then those work great. If you live outside of Asia, you may want to consider having English-sounding middle names.

They are okay for your ethnicity, but you may want to give them something else, especially if they are not growing up in Japan... wdyt of..

Lily and Amanda
Hayley and Paige
Addison and Anniston nn Addie and Annie
Melanie and Samantha nn Mel/Mellie and Sam/Sammie
Caroline and Rebecca nn Cara/Carrie and Becca/Becky

If you decide to go with them they are fine, but if you want more options, just ask

For poster number three, we would like to keep the first names Japanese, and not so popular. We were thinking on english middle names though. Thanks!

I think maybe you should switch it around, english fn’s and japanese mn’s....

How do you pronounce those names?? Congrats on having twins!! I have a set of identical boys and they are now 10... have fun and enjoy them!!

Koharu is pronounced Koh as in coke, ha as in hard, and ru as in true, and Chiaki is Chi as in Cheetah, Ah as in "Say ahh!", and ki as in Keys. For the poster above, we don’t really like any except for Kaede.

I like both the names you picked out, Japanese names have very simple pronunciation (true to the spelling) and I don’t think anyone will have a problem saying them. They may need to spell them out, but honestly my name is Megan, and I have to spell that out because some people use an h in there.

I like your choices much better than the overused, bland suggestions on previous posts.
