I think you CAN use anything you like, spelling get bizarre sometimes. I far and beyond anything else though, prefer the traditional Annie. And I love this name by the way.

As pp said, you can spell any name any way you want. However, I personally think Annie is one of those names where the traditional spelling is the only one that looks good. Love the name, as a full name or nickname! What is the full name you are using?
I prefer the original way to spell Annie.

I’m glad you’re just using it for a nn! But what is the full name? I wanted to name my daughter Annie but I couldn’t find a full name I liked.

You could spell it any way you want to, as the other posters said, but I have to say Annie is the nicest. Sometimes changing the spellings of names can make it look like you’re trying to be trendy, and a lot of the time people end up spoiling a perfectly good name. I think Annie is gorgeous. GL!

I think Annie or Anney would be the only whay I would do it. Anni/Anny to me changes the pronounciation --maybe it shouldn’t but I want to say ’ah-nee’ instead of ’A-nee’ now.
