Lucy Arabella vs. Sophia Juliet vs. Charlotte Eliza

Okay, we couldn’t decide before she was born, and she arrived EARLY this morning! My wife is tired of people calling our first little angel "Baby Cosgrove," so we need this decided. Our little girl is perfect, with a full head of medium brown curls (by baby standards) and beautiful baby blue eyes (which will likely stay that way, considering her parents). Which fits her best, and which do you like best? Thank you for your help! - Jack and Celia Cosgrove

Well, its all kind of a blur right now and I’m sure Lia could give you a better story, but she is busy talking to the nursing staff about the baby right now, not to mention resting. Well, our little girl actually wasn’t due until the 16th of this month, but Lia started feeling pretty achy last night and woke up very uncomfortable at about 2:30 this morning. She told me she was just uncomfortable and wasn’t feeling any sharp contraction pains, so she went back to bed. I woke up at 6:30 to find that Lia had been up since 6, still feeling an uncomfortable pressure. Again, she told me it wasn’t time, so I went out for my usual run with the dog, came back, showered, and got dressed for work. When I was walking down the stairs to the kitchen, I heard a gasp from Lia. Her water had broke! So, we rushed to get her baby bag and went to the hospital. Things moved very quickly, and Lia opted for a natural birth (let’s just say it wasn’t my favorite thing to see her in that state, but it is what she wanted). Active labor began at about 7:30, and the baby was delivered around 10 AM, happy and healthy and perfect! She was 6 pounds 7 ounces and 20 inches long.

I think either Charlotte or Lucy would be lovely.

Charlotte Cosgrove would also give you the cute nn Cee Cee, although I prefer Lottie or Charlie.

Lucy is one of my favorites ever, though I prefer the slightly more versatile Lucia, with Lucy as the nn.
The mn is a bit over the top for me, but pretty.

Both are rising in popularity, but I assume that’s not an issue for you, as you have the uber popular Sophia on your list.

Honestly, Lucy and Charlotte would be a perfect sib set.
Try calling her each and see what sticks.
Save the other one for a future sister!

Saving Charlotte for a sister is a good idea! Lia definitely wants more children. We prefer the classic, simple Lucy to Lucia.

Wow is this the first baby? Not a real long labor especially for the first baby. I love Lucy Arabella :)

Thanks, everyone! I’m on here very late, I know, but I was busy tonight getting the house ready (you know, last minute details) for bringing home Lucy Arabella Cosgrove tomorrow afternoon! That’s right, we decided on Lucy Arabella for our first little princess, and it fits perfectly! We really appreciate your comments and suggestions!
