Astrid Victoria vs. Brigitte Katherine vs. Kiersten Linae

I am 6 months pregnant and expecting girl. I have always wanted to name my first daughter Astrid, after my grandmother. But, everytime I mention the name I get weird looks. I think it’s beautiful! ~Monique~

How about Victoria Astrid? I am not really crazy about Astrid myself but i understand wanting to name her after a family member. I love Bridgette/Bridget (spelled these ways) and I think Bridgette Katerine would be great. If you really feel strongly about using Astrid i would use it as a mn. Good luck :)

Sorry I don’t like Astrid as a first name but, maybe as a middle name like Bridget Astrid or Vitoria Astrid.

I am not very fond of Astrid but I understand how you want her to have a family name. I plan on naming my first daughter Charolette Lucille!

You should deffenatly use Astrid but just use it as a middle name! Hope this helps and good luck

How was Christine rude? she just stated she didnt like the name and made a suggestion to use it as a mn and gave fns that would work with Astrid as a mn. Geez...

I love the name Astrid. It always makes me think of elegant calla lily flowers. Ignore the funny looks. When I named my daughter Emma (20+ years ago) I got funny looks. And look what happened to that name! Astrid Victoria is a fabulous name and I think the initials AVE are cool, too.

I think Astrid Victoria is Awesome! And if it comes to it you can always call her Victoria or Tori.
