Sky-Leigh vs. Skyley

Which spelling should we go with? We have a daughter named Lili-Anne, so we were thinking that the hyphen would be more matchy to her sister’s name, but we’d like to hear your opinions. Thanks!

No, Sky-Leigh it looks stupid! Names that end in Leigh are really dumb and just another way for parents to lengthen their kids names, which are cute in the first place!

Sky-Leigh doesn’t look sophisticated, it just looks made up and trendy. Skyley on the other hand, looks like a beautiful name that will go well with your older daughter. There’s no need to be overly matchy - they’re not going to forget they’re sisters just because their names don’t tell them.

We are humble people of the old school. Cherokee- My daughter Skyley Joyce Teague is the first person I have ever heard with the name Skyley, with this spelling. The blue sky that day (as her eyes were the day she was born- but have since turned green), and my mothers middle name (Lea). Originally ( Skylea - Pronounced Skyleeah) chosen because my son name is Tyler.-- Ty and Sky-- Then modified at the certificate signing to Skyley because her cousin was named Kayley. That is how our family came up with her name. A few months later, my best friends had a baby girl and named her Skyly Poorboy. These girls are the "Original Skyleys", all the rest are sheer flattery to our people.
