No, not really. It does sound like mailin’ a letter. Maybe as a middle name, only if it is a special meaning name, such as after a family member.

I like it spelled Malyn or Maelyn better, it appears more feminine.

Well, no one looking at it can figure out how to say it.....that right there would be enough to make me say, "No."

I think it’s way too similar to so many currently trendy names, and besides the fact that it will be misspelled and mispronounced non-stop, it’s just not that pretty.
