Unusual fn Unusual mn vs. yes vs. no

I really like unusual names, not anything crazy, just changing a letter here or there or changing the ending of "ly" to "lynn" kind of thing. Would it be too much on a baby’s name to have an usual first and middle name? Should I just make one unusual? Opinions would be very helpful. Thanks!

I’d say have an unusual first name and a usual middle name, in case the child ends up hating their unique-ness. Like Indigo James, Jupiter Ross or Xavia Marie.

I’d say the opposite give him/her a popular, classic, strong name and leave the uniqueness for the mn. So in that order baby will have more possibilities. I think most of us start enjoying that uniqueness after or while teenage years, that’s when you value it. Good Luck in the search.

Honestly, what you’re describing isn’t particularly unique, so much as it’s-well, "made-up," sounding.

There are lots of little girls walking around with names like
Brielle and Jadalyn and Amberleigh

If you really want your little one to stand out in a good way, choose an underused name with some history and class.

As just one little example, the name Colleen is a lovely, classic, Irish name that fell out of the top 1,000 last year.

A little Colleen would stand out with grace and elegance in a see of Emalees and Adalyns.

That’s just one example...I don’t really know what your taste is, but hopefully you get the point.

As to the mn, I really think it’s the spot for a family connection or a name with special meaning to you.

I’d say unique first name, and a normal middle name. but nothing too crazy, they might resent it later
