It’s a GIRL! We had a boys named picked... vs. so now we need help on a name for our baby girl!

Hello Nesa and Mike here again! We are having our first baby and we found out this morning that we are having a GIRL!!!!! So after doing poll after poll and asking for help on narrowing down our list of names we had only decided on a boys name which was going to be Hudson Sean~Richard. Our girls list was still really long. So now we need a girls name. I will write our list of names in the first comment. We are looking for something that ages well and a name that isn’t to popular. If you could please tell us what you like or don’t like about each name on our list. We haven’t been able to shorten the list so we are hoping by people letting us know what they think of each name it will help us decide. Thank you again! Nesa and Mike

The only name I really like is Lorna, the others are trendy and popular. I also like the alternative of Lenora.

Top Three;
Avalyn Laurel
Aubriana Melanie/Melody
Kiera Melanie/Melody

Usually I’m not too keen on names like Aubriana but with the right combination I think it really works!!
You said you wanted likes/dislikes and reasons, so here we go;
Lanayah - dislike, it looks thrown together
Laurel - Like but I prefer Laura
Avalyn - I really like, it doesnt look bold or out there but it has a nice modern age whilst ageing well.
Aubriana - never really liked things with B’s in but this is calling to me (not sure why)
Kyla - I know ALOT of kyla’s
Karsyn - Even with the y it seems abit masculine
Mckenzie - Not my style really.
Morgan - I like it but it seems like a last name to me.
Madelyn - Lovely but rising in popularity
Audrey - Audrey at 8 seems a little odd to me.
Annalee - Lovely but once again it looks a little like you couldn’t decide and just put names together, what about Amalie?
Kiera - Beautiful, not really my style, however its a gorgeous name!
Skylar - Not thrilling
Brooklyn - Nice, but very popular
Ireland - Im in the UK, Ireland seems odd as a name to me.
Grace - Very popular mn and fn, try a variant?
Lorna - I like it, but i dont like some one who is called it which makes me slightly biased.

Hope that helped, GL!!

Lanayah--love it, i think this is my favorite of the list!!
Laurel--pretty
Avalyn--love it
Aubriana--pretty
Kyla-a popular name, its not my favorite
Karsyn--masculine, i think that this should stay a boys name
Mckenzie--to popular, but ok
Morgan--ok
Madelyn--love it
Audrey--love it
Annalee--pretty and not as popular which would be a determining factor for me. :) but its your daughter, so....
Kiera--this is ok
Skylar--not my style, but ok
Brooklyn--popular, but a nice name
Ireland--not nice, dont name your daughter after a country.
Lorna--ok sounds kind of like a movie actress name
Grace--very popular, maybe you could use this as a MN??

Audrey Laurel or Laurel Audrey would be a really pretty combo. I also really like Kiera, which is less common and Aubriana is pretty. The rest of your names seem very trendy/too popular/won’t age well.

Karsyn Laurel
Audrey Madalyn
Skyler Aubriana

This is what I think of each name:

Lanayah - This just looks weird to me
Laurel - Love it. My fav from ur list
Avalyn - Pretty, but not amazing
Aubriana - Pretty if paired with the right first or middle name
Kyla - Way to many, but still a pretty name
Karsyn - I like it. I cant see this on a boy, so I dont see it being to masculine
Mckenzie - My little brothers name, so I cant see it on a girl. Mackenzie is the girl spelling though

Madalyn - Beautiful. Maddie is a cute nn
Audrey - I like it but prefer Aubrey
Annalee - One of my favorite names. Gorgeous :)

Grace - Way to many in the world but I like it (its my nieces mn)
Lorna - Never heard it before. She wont have anyone else in her classes with the same name Im sure

good luck
