Elina vs Isla vs. Layna vs Kara vs. Emmy

Me and DH are expecting a baby girl together in March. I like the name Elina, DH like Isla, big sis Bria Kathleen - 6, likes Layna, biggest bro Haden Walter - 4, likes Kara (pn CAR-uh), and big bro Noah Fredrick - 3, likes Emmy. We are definitely using one of these names, so please pick whichever you like best, and the one that goes best with siblings names. Thank you, Anna, Jared, Bria, Haden, Noah, & baby girl.

I love Emmy, but I’m partial because my daughter’s name is Emmeline and we call her Emme.

Emmy definitely goes the best with your other children. Isla is too similar to the other sounds in the family’s names: Anna, Noah, Bria...too many -uh endings. Emmy is delightful and Emeline is a lovely longer fn option.

Isla fits the best with her sibs’ names.

Kara is doomed to mispronounciation, Emmy is far too youthful (I assume Noah is a Dragon Tales fan?), and Elina doesn’t fit in as nicely...I’m also "over," Ellies in a big way.

Layna isn’t awful, but it just isn’t as pretty imho.
