Forgive me if I am being ignorant, but Is Sally a name or a nickname? For me it sounds so cute, but it sounds kind of nicknamish...which names could go by Sally. Thanks for the information.

Sally can be used as name. I don’t know of any name that it’s a nickname for, but it is a cute name.

I think It is a name, but many people use it as the nickname for Sarah, Saray, Salome.

It is an old fashioned nickname for Sarah, but I think it works well as its own name now.
