What NN vs. for the name vs. Emerson??????

We were thinking about naming our baby boy Emerson James Kramer, but to us Emerson is quite a long name, so what would be a nick name???? We’ve tried some nn’s, and came up with sonny, but we hate that name. Please help!!! Thank you! P.S. The baby is due at any moment!!!!! Older siblings: Violet Anne Kramer Lorane Elizabeth

Boy names that would go with Violet? How about Julius, Everett, Theo, Oliver.

Our friends named their son Jackson. They do call him Jack, but they also call him "moose" in an affectionate way. He’s learning to walk and barrels through a room like a moose.
Another friend affectionately added "dude" to her sons name as a pet name. Shay-dude.
There are so many ways to nickname your kids without shortening their name. You know?
