Hi! my name is Carlie and Im having a baby girl due in April and no idea what to do about the name . Her dad wants me to give her his last name but he hasn’t helped me in anyway with anything and I really don’t think he’s gonna do anything after she’s born.. Please Help! Thanks Carlie

Keep your last name! I wish someone had told me that when I had my first. I am know married and have two more children and my oldest has a different last name than us. I can’t change it without her bio-dads permission and he says no. He has nothing to do with her, he just likes to be difficult. Good luck

I was in the same situation as posters 3 and 4 but luckily we were able to do the name change FINALLY about a year ago--it was really expensive though, coupled with the cost of my husband adopting our oldest legally
