First Baby vs. Need Ideas

Well all I just found out today that I’m pregnant!!! I’m soo excited. I need to start thinking about names, but I still have a long time to go. I think I like long classic names on girls, but I have no idea on boys. I like names like Penelope, Abigail, Charlotte, Phoebe, etc. I need some more ideas so my husband and I can build a list. Especially for boys names cause I don’t know where to start. Thanks!

If you really don’t know what you like for boys, I would start by going to a website like babynames.com and go through the names and find out what style you like. You can create a profile and it will save all your name choices. There’s other sites like that like nameberry.com.

Here’s some boy names similar to your girl style: Collin, Grant, Edward, Henry, Jack, Jasper. Wdyt?

For girls you’ll probably like Ava, Sophia, Olivia, Adelaide, Ruby, Hazel, Molly, and Laura.

I like some of the other like William, Joshua, and Patrick, but know people with those names that I wouldn’t want to name my child after.

Of the girls list I love Sophia, Olivia, Hazel, and Ava, but I have very close family friends and they hav children with all of those names. I do like Molly and Laura though. Thanks!

Love Elizabeth, but it’s my sisters name so I want to leave it for her to use someday.

I think Thatcher would be super cute! And it would age wonderfully. It’s quite traditional, but not at all common. That would be my fave from the lists above.
