Sultana Nadiya vs. Sultana Layali vs. Sultana Maliha

My husband and I are American currently living in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and we are having our first child here. It’s going to be a girl! We would like to give her a Saudi Arabian name, and we have chosen Sultana, which means ’a queen’. We thought about giving her a middle name common in America (where our other home and family is), and we decided we would give her two middle names, one Arabic and one American. Please help us choose an Arabic middle name from these names we’ve acquired. Her American middle name will be Hope, so it will be Sultana _______ Hope. (And yes, we realize Hope is actually English, but is an acceptable name in America; therefore, we consider it "American".) This is the second poll I’ve created, and these are our top three right now, and the list below this has been narrowed down a bit more. However, we are still open to the middle names still on the list. Also, as a clarification, we are also aware that a sultana is a grape in America/Australia/etc. but Sultana will be in Saudi Arabia until she is at least five, so we are going to stick with the name. Thanks everyone! Adilah, Fahimah, Ghazal, Hadiyah, Inaya, Khalidah, Maisa, Mirah, Ramziyah, Rasha, Sakinah, Saamiya/Samiyah, Sirah, Yarah, Yasirah, Zahra

There are lots of Nadias here (it was the 214th most common girl’s name 2000-2008), so if you want to simplify things you could just drop the "Hope" and go with Sultana Nadiya. On that same list, Malia, Maliyah, and Maleah were ranked 424, 850, and 890, so Maliha’s not too far out either. And even though Layali isn’t on the list, it’s beautiful, and Layla and Leilani are at 143 and 359. I’d say there’s no need to complicate your life with a second middle name. Go with a more "americanized" spelling like Sultana Malia or Sultana Nadia, or better yet, let her be exotic and keep the Arabian spelling.

Fahima might sound like Arabic, and Ghazal is just bizarre, but Nadiya, Layali, and Maliha are all beautiful!
