Violet vs. Ruby vs. Gemma

Hi there! Our second...a girl...is due on March 17th... and we are still stuck for a name! I change daily on which of the three I listed are my favorite. I think we’ve at least short listed it to this (as well as maybe Ivy). Her big brother, Samuel, is already calling her Gemma (and my husband really loves it) but I’m really not sold on it!! Help! Comments would be appreciated. We already have a middle name picked, (Nicole) so just need help on the first...

I think Violet sounds the best with Nicole. And Ruby is too common for me. Good luck!

My name is Gemma and my mother’s name is Nicole, that curious (lol) ... I love my name, means "Precious Stone", my mother called me like that, because she liked and because I´m her best jewel. :)

i like gemma. also since she is due on st. patrick’s day, it makes sense to me. bijou also means jewel, btw. anyhow gemma nicole sounds lovely. other options for march could be :charm,patsy,patrice,patricia,emrys,emerald,emeryl, and of course, gemma! good luck and let us know what you decide.

i like Violet best, although maybe Ruby would go better with Samuel, i don’t see what Gemma has to do with St. Patrick’s Day...
