The name vs. Adelyn

My baby girl is due in August and I’m wanting to name her Adelyn. What do you think about this name? My husband and I really like it, just want your thoughts on it. Other names we like are Keira and Cadence. Which means I stay undecided. Please help!

I think it is really trendy, sorry, and will end up being dated. Same with Cadence. I like Keira a lot though.

Love it. Names like this (dropping the first consonant sound) are a growing trend and perfectly use-able such as Adelyn (Madelyn) and Addison (Maddison)

Names that end in "lyn" are really trendy right now. If you look on the SSA website Adelyn wasn’t in the top 1000 until 2007 and 2008. The SSA website has at least 4 other spellings listed, all of them also in the top 1000. That is a HUGE jump in popularity, making it a trend.

I think Adelyn sounds beautiful! I like that it stems from the older name Adeline, yet fits in with current names that also end in "lyn".

its my second favorite name (sophia is my first)you should sooooo use adelyn:)
