Lillyan Grace vs. Elizabeth Grace

We originally settled on Lillyan Grace, calling her Lilly. Our son’s name is Jonathan Mark and we call him Jonny. Recently we started second guessing our choice, and are now considering Elizabeth Grace, calling her Ellie or Lizzie. My middle name is Beth, so that’s kind of fun. We really have no idea. Elizabeth is a top 10 name, but I seem to run into Lilly’s EVERYWHERE! My name is Sara so I had like 10 Sarah’s in my classes growing up and don’t want that...Can’t decide...HELP!

I voted for Elizabeth simply because I dont care for the spelling of Lillian. Elizabeth Grace is very pretty and I love the nn of Ellie :) GL!!

Do not like Lillyan spelling takes the class and simply beautiful feeling away from the name.

Please vote based on name, not the spelling...the spelling of both we’re already set on, it’s the name in general we’re struggling with...THanks!

Oh I did also vote on the name. In general I’m sick of the name Lilly. Its everywhere. The other part was Lillyan I dont like the spelling. Plus if your worried abot the popularty of the name. There are SO many nicknames for Elizabeth and 1 for Lillian.

Good point. If Elizabeth ran into too many other kids with the same name, she would have other options...I like your thinking!

Exactly she could be Eliza, Ellie, Liza also Lily can be an NN for Elizabeth or anything with her middle name (Ellie-Grace ect)

Both are cute names but I like Elizabeth better. Unfortunately, if you really want a name she won’t have to share with classmates, I don’t think you’ve found a winner yet. Good Luck

I don’t mind her having a relatively common name, but I don’t want her to be referred to by her last name like I was...that was no fun! Sara doesn’t have any nicknames, that’s why I’m giving my kids names that have options!

I love Elizabeth Grace nn Ellie :) And if you have a strange last name its probably not a good idea to spell Lilyan with a y
