I like carrington better too. Its a very smart, sophisticated, classy name. You could call her Carrie for short and then later in life she can be Carrington for the business world.

They are unattractive surnames and I don’t like either of them on either gender. If you MUST use one of them, leave it as a middle name for a male ONLY! Neither of them are the least bit feminine, and would sound horrible on a girl.

I disagree, even though they are long names, I do like the sound of them.

They sound "stuck-up" to me.

I agree with the poster who said these would better be reserved for the middle name slot. There’s nothing particularly feminine about either, though I do like the sound of both. I prefer Carrington to Arrington, but spelled Kerrington. Even in the middle name slot, I think people will assume that these are family surnames of yours passed on to your child. I’m guessing they aren’t??? Just my two cents, for what they are worth. Obviously the choice is yours. Good luck with naming your little one and congrats!!!

I know a little boy named Carrington so I associate it was a boys name. I’ve never heard of Arrington.
