Phoebe ??? vs. ??? Phoebe

I would love my daughter to have elements of both grandmas’ names. My mom’s name is Lynne and my MIL is Phoebe. I am looking for a name to go with Phoebe that has Lynne/Lyn/Lin in it somewhere. Kind of like Katelyn, but something not so popular. Phoebe can either be the 1st or middle name but I would like it to stay. Thank you! Ashley and AJ

I wouldn’t name her Lynn or Phoebe as the first name. I’d pick a name I like then use Phoebe AND Lynn (or some with Lynn in it) as her two middle names. But I’d only do this if you plan to have no more baby girls. What happens if you have a second girl later? Will she fell left out that baby #1 got all the granny’s names and she got nothing? Unless you use Marilyn and Lindsay so both babies get a little of Lynn. I don’t know what you’d do with Phoebe though. I wonder if their middle names are more modifiable?

I don’t like Phoebe for a first name. How about:

Amberlyn Phoebe
Evelyn Phoebe
Irelyn Phoebe
Joselyn Phoebe

I wouldnt worry about saving a name for another girl. I lost two babies after my first and can’t have anymore so am glad that I didnt save any names. You can figure something out if a second one comes.

Willa, thanks for your advice, but this will be my only baby due to medical reasons. I am going to use Phoebe as one of the names, and the other name that uses Lynne in it somehow will be the name that the baby goes by, even with a nickname. I don’t want 2 middle names. Thank you.

Phoebe is an adorable name!!!!! I thought Irelyn sounded nice without it.
