Michaela vs. Michael

Dh wants to name his first son Michael after a friend and I thought if we had a girl we could name her Michaela since I like the name. Do you have any spelling variations or middle name suggestions? Also please give me your feedback on this name. Thank you.

I have always liked the name Michael no matter how popular it is. I wouldn’t spell it any other way

I love Michaela for a girl but I might stick with the original spelling. Mikki for a nick name and Michaela when she’s older.
