I personally couldnt choose a name and stick with it because once the baby was born I had to see them to choose. I learned this with my frist who I intended to name Crystal but ended up in the hospital naming her Katelyn. So the next two time I went in with 2 or 3 names and named the baby after he and she were born. Good luck!

My daughter’s name is Annabel Lee. We named her after the poem by Edgar Allen Poe.
I have a huge list of names I love, but my favorites, along with Annabel Lee, would be:
Elodie
Gwendolen
Felicity
Aurora

Gabriel
Michael
Maverick
Dante

I’m really having problems completely deciding on a name. I’m due in August, here are my names. I’m not really sure how to pick one and be done with it. Might take all three of them to the hospital. Here’s my list.

Cadence

I agree with first poster--Come up with a list of 3 for each gender and name them when you meet them.

We couldn’t decided-we ended up naming our daughter Ruby Annabeth, but our second choice was Isla Doreen. (MN’s are family names)

I actually heard on the radio that 1 out of 5 moms regret the name that named their child. This was mostly due to crazy spellings, botching up a name to where you can’t prn it, and last was naming after someone still alive that made them mad later on in life.

I would keep the naming simple. There are some classic names that always sound good no matter when and what age you are.

I like some more modern names too but make sure it is easy to prn and don’t do any creative spellings. Also make sure it ages well, can you picture that name on a 20 yr old, 30 yr old, 60 yr old?

My favorite names are:
Aubrey/Audrey
Charlotte
Lillian
Olivia
Keira
Julianne
Elizabeth
Alyssa

Grant
Collin
Connor
Braden
Emmett
Dawson
Mason

I agree with the above poster, make sure you can see your child with the name you choose at any age and keep the spelling simple. Its embarrassing to children when there teachers can’t prounounce there names, especially if they have a complicated last name which you can’t help. I know naming your child a name that is unisex is in right now but try and make sure the name is gender appropriate.
I chose Seth and Melanie for my childrens names.

Ask yourself: Would I want this name? Would I be proud to put it on a resume?

Then spend the day saying it.
If you get tired of it after a while, it’s not the one!

Write it down with your ln.
Write it down with Dr. in front of it.
Does it make you proud to see it?

Is it a name that might be used by a celebrity? Does it sound like the name of a character on a soap opera, a cast member on a reality show, or a little girl on Toddlers and Tiaras? If the answer to any of the above is, "Yes," then skip it.

Remember, above all, that this is a gift you are giving your child for a Lifetime.
You want to find a name that is the equivalent of the timeless little black dress-not this season’s orange gladiator sandles.

Some of my favs.

Caroline
Charlotte
Georgia
Margaret Alice nn Maisie
Augusta
Kathleen or Katherine nn Kate/Katie

Jack
Henry
Will
Samuel/Sam
Charles/Charlie

I also like some trendier names, as long as they legitimately seem like "real," names and can be spelled and pronounced.

Moms never want to hear this, but I can tell you that names with funny spellings Absolutely get snickered at by teachers and everyone else.

I’m having a girl and thinking hard on naming her Cadence Olivia. Did you catch that? Thinking hard, which means I can’t decide.
If I was having a boy, I would be naming him Tristan Isaiah. That was pretty easy for me. GL!
